Bravado was a concept I invented when i discovered the AkaiS1000
a marvelous machine used in the 80s/90s to sample sound snippets and chunks of audio from any audio source after a few experiments I remembered one of my favorite artist from the Blues world was SONNY TERRY
a track called Wooping the blues - I sampled it
I took it to Telstar Records they loved it but said why dont I get a real player in and make it an original track
I got a player in that speacialised in whooping style harmonica playing PAUL LAMB
Paul came into the studio I got him to jam over the groove for about 20 minutes I took the session home and put it in the sampler, split it up into section and wrote Harmonica Man - I took the stems to my friend Rick Smith of Underworld and he engineer and mixed the first mix - It sat on my shelf for a few months then a couple of DJ listened to it and asked if they could take it to some DJ that had just started Peach Records - Peach was part of the Stock Atcen and Waterman company - they bought a 5 year lease and withing 2 weeks it was in the UK charts it reach number 34 in the UK charts - sadley it was at the time when the company had a bit of a reshuffle and so my track got shelved - the track reached different charts all over the world . after 5 years I got the rights back and it was used for a kids TV program called MAD FOR IT
since then it has sat on my shelf - so I thought I would make it available to download -
